Cost more or less both falls in to my budget. (LG - 48k and Samsung - 51)
I am thinking about Picture quality / Panel Type?

Could anyone throw some light on it?

Plz do urself a favor and do a detailed demo of both....take some dvdrips and HD stuff with u and check out.Both are almost evenly specced and in the end, its u who is gonna live with the set.

I would personally recommend Samsung over LG any day, but thats just me.I have always loved the slightly hotter Samsung colors and the awesome contrast and black levels they provide.Go audition them and let us know how it went.

Guys, go for samsung 40c550 LCD, this is awesome LCD... high contrast ratio than LG.. I am the proud owner of samsung 40c550 LCD..
