Listening Impression - Shanti's System

Hi,
Has it made any difference to the sound or is it only for aesthetics?

Pertinent Question;

However, I am not sure.

Currently it is 100 % aesthetic;

Acoustic ? I am not so sure.....
Will have to take it out & listen - then put it back & listen again.....
In my case, the entire system needs to be switched off - cables removed from the amplifier & only then can the Cable Elevators be removed - so the process is a bit long & also trifle bit tedious....

looking neat MBJ !

you want the other ones in black or clear transparent ?
i would think the clear ones may go better with your cables

Sir,
Request;
No MBJ - only 'bhagwan' or 'shanti' [please] !!

Thanks.

With regards the other cable lifters - I was wondering if I need them ?
This is nice & small & I like the way it 'separates' my cables - also looks
clean...
Yes, Transparent would look better - I feel !
So if you are to remake these - try it in transparent instead. Just a suggestion.

these are acrylic, right!?

and, r those other ones all cereball thingies?

Sir,

I use a 'mix' of products;
a]
Vibrapod - below clock
b]
Alto Extremo - 4 different products - below upsampler
c]
Stillpoints Ultra SS - below DAC
d]
DIY - Bearing Based Issolation - below Power Amplifier

:)

I got a chance to listen to Bhagwans system a few days back. Ive put down my listening impressions below:

Setup and constraints
- The major constraint in the system seems to be the room with speaker placement close to the wall and distance from the listening position is small
- It is obvious that a lot of care has been taken to optimize the system to play as well as possible given the constraints of the room

Sound
- Tonality is excellent, as is the level of transparency that the system portrays
- Extension at both ends is again excellent
- Microdynamics are present in abundance
- Vocals have the you are there quality
- The soundstage is well defined and wide. The excellent soundstage depth in particular stands out given the close listening position
- Integration with the subwoofers is excellent
- The only area where the system falls somewhat short is in large scale macrodynamics. This is to be expected given the room and speaker size. Even in this, it is better than the majority of systems that I have heard

Many thanks to Bhagwan for his hospitality. He is someone who is very knowledgeable about all things audio and willing to share his experience.

Sir,
Hello !
Thanks for the kind & truthful words - I think you have sized the set up very well.
It was nice to have you @ home.
You are most welcome - any time you wish to come - just call & drop by - it is nice to meet you.
We need to catch up @ your place too. soon - someday !!

Hopefully soon. Will get in touch closer to the weekend.
Sir,
We shall have to postpone it. :sad:
I am in Junagadh - Gujarat for Maha Shiv Ratri - Will return on the 23rd - so we will make a plan for sometime later - I am sorry. But, I am keen to meet & listen to Jacob's speakers...

In March then :)

I removed the USB Cable.
RME - AES32e was installed.
Got 'custom' break-out cables made - Bertram Audio - Optima [Copper] - D Pin Sub to Male XLR [dual]
This was installed in May, 2012.
