I’ve been using the EcoFlow Delta 2 with my HiFi setup for the past few days, and I’m genuinely impressed.
Setup:
Wall AC → EcoFlow Delta 2 → Onfilter → Entire HiFi chain
The result is a super-clean sound with noticeably improved soundstage and musicality, along with a solid 4–5 hours of battery backup when all my gear is running.
My full chain draws around
70–78W at standby, with the Hegel taking up most of that.
At normal listening levels, consumption rises to about
180W with peaks, and when pushed harder it goes up to
200W, peaking around 210W.
The headphone tube amp on its own sits at roughly
150W.
Highlights:
• Seamless switching from AC to battery within milliseconds. Only my Hegel amp restarts if it’s playing music, while the rest of the gear stays powered on.
• Expanded soundstage with greater width and spaciousness.
• Highs are smoother, more refined, and more musical.
• Bass quantity has reduced slightly, but the quality is far better—what I initially thought was fullness before now feels like a touch of bloat.
• Vocals and midrange have gained even more clarity and presence.
I tested whether the Hegel lost any dynamics using three different power configurations:
1. Hegel → Onfilter → EcoFlow Delta 2 (battery mode)
2. Hegel → Onfilter (direct AC)
3. Hegel → Wall AC
Result:
• Option 3 was by far the worst—lots of noise coming straight from the wall sockets. I’m spoiled by the Onfilter now.
• Options 1 and 2 were very close, but configuration 1 had the slight edge—best performance came when running on battery.
A few things to keep in mind:
• For those using tube amps: when powering on, the initial surge can trip the EcoFlow Delta 2. You might need a larger model. (Headphone tube amps, however, work fine.)
• I wish EcoFlow had included some kind of physical switch for the AC outputs.
Standby vs All Equipments switched on and playing ( both HP tube amp and Hegel Int)

I can already picture myself carrying a small headphone setup outdoors—enjoying music while soaking in nature

.
• CDT powered from the DC output
• DAC from the USB output
• Headphone amp from the AC mains
And if needed, I can even recharge the EcoFlow directly from the car while on the move.
