I'm a little tired of using these flimsy keyboards and mice that are pretty much the norm nowadays. For a brief period, I had standardized using the Microsoft keyboard and mouse but those are now not available. Looking for suggestions from the experts on what are the options out there if one wants to get a good tactile feel keyboard - which feels a little substantial when typing in moderate daily use.

I have looked up Keychron and they do make some really nice products. Any Keychron users here who can comment?
Are there any options available locally that are worth considering? All feedback would be most appreciated.

Currently looking at their Keychron K10 HE which sports a nice wooden frame.

I have been using wireless keyboard and mouse combos since 2013 and by far Logitechs have been best. Though HP gives 3 years warranty but Ligitech is better and can last longer. I remember using wired keyboard of Microtek which lasted decades. It was bought when even windows did not existed and worked till windows 2000 I guess.

Thanks. Have been using Logitech mice but they also start to fail after a while.
But they are one of the better options available in the market right now.

I am using KeyChron K4 version 2 and the wooden palm rest since 2022 at work with the brown switches
and KeyChron K8 with Red switch at home with their Resin palm rest

I prefer the K4 and the wooden palm rest but i prefer the red switches ( lovely switches to work with)
they have been absolutely trouble free and just work, every single time

and you are right about logitech's quality going down the drain, i stopped using logitech keyboards a long time ago but use their mouse MX master 3S for now ( two mx master 2S died on me prematurely got a replacement for one from logitech)

Mice the best is Logitech Master Mx series.

For mechanical keyboard there are lots of options. I use Croisair K63 which comes with MX cherry keycaps. I really like mechanical feel, using since five years. Before this I had used may be 3 wireless logitech keyboards, I feel only highend logitech keyboard are comparable. So not favour of Logitech for Keyboard.

Things I learned to look further than keys and aesthetic look; how is battery backup & how reliable is connection. For many model bluetooth is choppy. So look for actual user reviews on these before making the purchase.

Can't say about keyboards but the best mouse around for build quality, ergonomics, productivity, connectivity and ease of use simply has to be the Logitech Master MX 2S (I have the Master 3S as well but prefer the 2S)! Mine has survived 6 years and counting despite numerous drops on tiled flooring.

Durability aside, one of its best features is its ability to track on any surface including glass.

Plus, the horizontal scroll is a boon for spreadsheets or volume control at a pinch, not to mention the infinite vertical scroll which is mechanized and just keeps on going if you so wish.

It can also pair with upto 3 devices at any given time through bluetooth or wi-fi dongle, it can transfer files between PCs by simply dragging and dropping etc etc.

At Rs 5K odd, its simply stupendous value!

I have been using a Keychron K8 Pro with Gateron red switches for a year now and very happy with it. Build quality and typing experience is very good.

For mouse, logitech MX master series is pretty good. Bit pricey but offer lot of customizations via software or you can go with something simpler like a Logitech G304(my current mouse).

same here, but i got the full length with num keys. really solid. i would highly recommend.

for mouse, it's always hit or miss. just get any decent one and call it a day. don't put much money on it

I have been using a Logitech mouse for almost 8 years now. In the beginning, I was using the M590 series mouse, and last year I got the MX Master 3S, a wonderful mouse with great ergonomics. In the Logitech app, you can customise all the buttons and sensitivity according to each application. Now they release the MX Master 4; consider the 3s or 4, and you will love it for sure.

To my best knowledge, the only mouse that works the scrolling pages with an iPad is the MX series. Consider this too if you are using it on an iPad.

cheers

Keyboards with keys that are less in height and not tapering on top or without any depression give more confidence while typing.
Although I am a windows user only, but the Mac keyboard felt the best where ergonomics was concerned in my experience due to a flat top and less height with proper feedback.
This dell seems good although I have not bought it but users seem content. No idea about a good mouse though.

I assume you haven't lived with the Logitech Master MX series. Once you get used to the ergonomics, convenience, horizontal scroll and infinite vertical scroll, there's simply no going back to a regular mouse. I lug it with me on my outstation trips because every other mouse or tracking device feels inadequate.

How do you control volume on your PC? 🤔

Very few do and the MX does it all!

I have my MX paired with my work PC, home PC and iPad and because it employs Bluetooth for connectivity, you don't have to keep plugging in dongles to every device you need to use the MX with.

Plus, in case your device does not come with BT or its broken for whatever reason, the MX comes with a dongle too!
