MA RX6 .vs. PSB image T6 .vs. KEF Q900

thanks a lot. now i understand that these are very powerful speakers. any general idea of how big a room this can cater to? my living room is around 20 x 15ft.

These speakers can comfortably fill up a room size of 300-350 Sq ft.

At that price, consider importing Salk SongTowers (ST) from US. Will be FAR better than any of these. The MA RS6 (older version of RX6) I heard was ok, but a bit bright and had a narrow soundstage. I actually preferred the Polk Rti A9 over RS6 - had a pretty wide soundstage but even this was a bit bright for my taste.

The ST are at a different level and fare better than several mainstream speakers twice their price, including the likes of B&W, Focal, Paradigms. It may be almost impossible to listen to them for audition as they not sold through dealers, only direct. But you can check out its thread on avsforum and its dedicated forum on audiocircle.

Have so far liked the T6 to some extent, and loved the Q700 (sadly it lacks the lows).

It would be a very close call between the T6 and the Q900 in my opinion, with a slight hint of bias towards the Kef.

Will publish my notes on an auditioning spree over the last couple of weeks in a separate thread.

:licklips: Have just bought an MA RX6 and paired it to my Marantz PM7001, CD6003 combo. In my small room of 10' x 14' it works really nicely and bass is just right without booming. I feel i am getting the benefit of the 90 db too. So much details I am suddenly able to listen to now !

I am a PSB fan so do look up the T6s or even the Imagine Ts which are the next line up on the Image series.

+1 to Inderbirsingh The clarity of RX6 is out of the world and that is #1 on my list for now Going to compare them with Polk RTi A7/A9. Has anyone auditioned these speakers?

Rti A7 and A9 dont have proper mids. If you're spending this much, u deserve mids

I've heard Q700. Clear mids, great imaging, warm highs and nice sound stage. Other than Bass everything is great. Q900 has better bigger 8" drivers, and I heard it covers where Q700 is missing.

Q900 retails at 95k, but u can get discount over it.

I have heard the q900 and they are gooood. I'm guessing the monitor audio are on the brighter side cause I have heard their older sibiling the gx 200/300 which retail for 2.40 lakhs /3.20 lakhs and they were bright for my taste..I have heard the focal's too...not bad...why dont you go for the kef R SERIES...amazing reviews all over...I have heard the r700/900..amazing. ..in fact the r900 is in my top 3 im considering buying the other 2 being jbl ls80 and revel performa 3...but these are all out of your budget..but the r series has a r500 which with discount could just be within your budget..check Em out...you may be impressed
