Marantz PM6005 Integrated Amplifier Vs NAD D 3020 Digital Amplfier / DAC

Hi FMs,

I was thinking to purchase a Integrated Amplifier and a DAC inorder to play with my laptop or USB.

But as my friend has gone to UK..he will be back in a week so i think which on3 will be better to purchase in UK out of two :

1. NAD D 3020 Digital Amplfier / DAC
2. Marantz PM6005 Integrated Amplifier

Please suggest if you think something else should be purchased.
I will playing a good budget FS with it like Sonus 2605 V3 or Norge Tower.

Hi Fi equipment prices in the UK are pretty high ( unlike the USA).

Infact generally, UK and India prices are similar, so save your friend the trouble, and buy local.

The NAD is small n light in weight... a Distinct advantage to carry.

Sound Quality of NAD vs the Marantz .... not so sure.........

I can see on amazon.uk Marantz 6005 price is 255 euro which comes about 25 INR.

same is available on hifimart for 40K.

My only concern is whether it will have warranty in india or not ?
whether it will have global warranty or how it will be.

Nope.. You will not get warranty in India for products purchased outside India... But don't worry, they will work fine...

You may also consider Onkyo TX 8050 stereo receiver which is similar to Marantz PM 6005, but has more digital inputs, lil pricer around 349 Pounds... May be your friend can pick it up for a lesser price if he drops into the store...
