Movies Now HD-ch from Times

I also raised the query via TS login.. received a call in the morning saying they are going to forward my concern/query to their 'Customer Voice'.

Lets also appreciate the fact that the CC guys are instructed to follow a certain set of rules while interacting with the customer and is just doing his job.

agreed. I believe they form the buffer between angry customers and the company executives. They are all poor lambs ready to be slaughtered. Actually feel pretty bad sometimes, because they really can't do anything and yet I, as a frustrated customer will be blasting away at them...

I do agree with the point.. What about the service engineers and technical experts who are next level to the customer care... The samsung service engineer visited my place few days back when I asked him about TV settings he asked me for manual . And he says image retention is cable connection fault ...:D explain that....

Ha ha...
Actually the service guys had graduated from ' The School of CRT TVs'... and now they need the manual for any flat panel TV... (yeh syllabus me nahi tha)

That's sad saying Arnab.

CC people are also highly skilled. To just bracket them based on few experience is not justified. CC execs act brainless/dumb and that is a reflection of the job training and not their skills. The organizations are to be blamed in many ways.

I've interacted with TataSky CC and they share as much information as possible. I could imagine someone calling asking for movies in HD and the exec replying with Dabangg available in HD. Sometimes it just could be the way we ask for information.

I do not work for CC but my friends do. Believe me it is fun and hardwork. Their work-life world rocks on much more days than mine :)

On the MoviesNow topic, I SMS'd as per the moviesnow.com website. No reply :(

+1. I agree.

TATA Sky ppl called me saying "your request has been forwarded. We will try to get Movies Now as soon as possible".

It would be better if Movies Now discloses which DTH providers to approach for thier HD channel.

Hi,

I do get the 'Movies now' channel on my Sony CRT TV from the day it was telecast. The video images are good, but I don't feel there is much of a difference on the audio front as compared to HBO, SONY PIX, WORLD MOVIES. I get my broadcast from the local cable-walla, no set top box, neither TATA SKY DTH platforms.

I hooked it to my 5.1 hi-fi system via AVR, nothing gr8 here too. On the contrary I must say that when I select the Pro-logic cinema mode or the DTS neo-cinema mode, I get audio from the centre speaker only, and just a bit of rumbling from the front speakers, and this is true for the other channels as well. So where's the 5.1 surround sound element. Or is it that I have to subscribe to a DTH service. Plz let me know.

Yes, need to connect your STB to your AVR via optical or HDMI. This is only possible through HD DTH platforms. Only then can you get 5.1 sound.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
