Hi All,
HSU which was serving my HT for past 4 years is finally moving to my stereo setup. Rythmik 1501S DIY is the replacement sub. Bet me this is a massive step up for me. The end result comparison of both are dramatic. I finished my DIY project on Diwali :ohyeah:.

I'm really sorry for not posting my complete DIY journey in HFV(I'm quite lazy and would have checked your temper). Anyway, I have added some pics of my build.

Regards,
Madhur

More Pics...
The laminated MDF was not a wise choice because painting is practically not possible. So, I'm planning to give a mica coating. Your suggestions are also welcome. The current plastic bushes will be replaced by wooden bush .

Congrats, now how can you compare it with sound?

Hi,
Its performance is mind blowing. This is the best sub i have ever heard of. I never felt lack of bass. This is a sealed sub still it is too good for movies and for music it is awesome. I watched "Flight of the phoenix" movie and i was awestruck in the emergency landing scene. It literally shook my house :yahoo:.

I felt bass was tight, accurate and not boomy at all. This sub cannot be compared to HSU by any means(Other hand it is not fair) because Rythmik is far far superior than HSU. But still i love my HSU sub :clapping:

The main difference i can point out is that HSU will reproduce lower signals very well but mid bass frequency will be slightly less but Rythmik is excellent in overall bass response :yahoo:.

I'm completely overjoyed with this sub :ohyeah:.

Madhur

Welcome to the Rythmik tribe.

Lovely build It was a very wise decision going with Rythmik :licklips:

I have been living with my Rythmik FV15HP sub since the last 8-10 months and it and the performance does not cease to amaze me, each and every time I turn it on.

Looks fantastic and I'm sure it sounds that way too, going by all accounts! Congrats!

Hi Grubyhalo,

Thank you. Yep. It definitely sounds awesome... The thing i like most is its capability to produce accurate bass even at lower volume :clapping:. It produces detailed Lows which made my jaws open during each time upon hearing it:yahoo:.

Madhur

i wish to make the same.
can u guide me the total procedure of purchase?

is it a 220v option?
i do ply works at home and think can built the cabinate looking from your posted photographs.

Yes. It has a voltage switch to choose between 110v and 220v.

Please visit www.rhythmikaudio.com to purchase your subwoofer online. I did not include shipping price in my quote because i carried them by hand while returning from US. If you want them to be shipped then shipping charge will be ~280$ + customs duty.

Regarding subwoofer build, Rhythmik audio has build plan in their website. Additionally, there are various build threads available in the net.

Building your own sub will give you an exciting experience and plenty of satisfaction :ohyeah:. All the best .

Madhur
