Dear friends

My understanding is AV receiver will not show Dolby Atmos unless you have a 5.1.2 setup at least. If the source is indeed Dolby Atmos and you don't have height channels setup (aka a traditional 5.1) then, it would get encoded as Dolby Digital TRUHD, at least that's how it works on my receiver.
Another thing, my Sony blu ray player does not decode ATMOS when playing via a USB source however if I put in a blu-ray it works fine, it decodes it as TRU HD since I don't have height channels setup.

Hope this helps.
