Hi,
I got my hands on a 10yr old Nakamichi AV10 without the manual but managed to figure out most things with the exception of the Speaker Calibration.
I have set speaker modes (small , large etc) but usually in most amps you can set speaker distances and the amp works out delays etc - later ones have built in calibration software.
Does anyone know what the numbers that appear in the Nakamichi speaker channels relate to. Is that feet distance or metres or a sound level. Also would you be able to use the test tone with a SPL meter to output a steady 75db signal and calibrate.
Question is how.

Thanks
BR

You shouldn't be so worried. Just do a reset first. You can google the instruction to reset it.

Every AVR is calibrated by its user to suit his room. Once you reset it, it will perform acceptably.

Distance should be in feet. Try entering a value like 10. If it sound too far or out of phase, it's in meter.
