Hi,

I am planning to purchase HD LED TV.

Currently have TATA SKY. Want to upgrade to HD DVR STB. But highly confused, hence kindly suggest the best one.

Hows videocon D2H?

Tata Sky HD DVR is best of the lot in my IMHO.
I have used Airtel,TataSky & BigTV.
Airtel is decent for normal STB's but as far as recorders are concerned it is poor and has a lot of software and hardware problems.(Got mine changed twice but still troubles often).
Tata Sky offers a great product with great service.(My 2cents)
No idea of Videocon D2h,so cant comment.

I have heard that TS has problem in adding new channels and due to overcompression its HD quality is not good-------is it true?

hi,
i am using videocon hd d2h for two weeks now.

hd channels are really good to watch with crystal clear pictures and sd channels' picture quality improved(was using dish basic sd connection)

i am happy with my decision to go for videocon d2h.

what about the services, customer care, ect. Is it good? I have dish with SD and it needs to improve a lot. It takes some time to fix issues with Dish.

I have heard good stuff about Tata Sky, and now here. But I require one channel that they dont provide - RT (Russia Today). Just for RT I have to get DD Direct with one time cost of 1-1.5K or go for a different subscriber - Airtel or Big TV or Dish TV. It's one of the few rare reliable international news channels.
