Need help on buying used speakers

Hi, I am planning to have HT set-up for my new home. As I don't have much knowledge about speakers and AVR, I am going through various threads.

I have observed that there are good deals being posted on used speakers.

Just want to know if there is any check-list for buying used speakers.

How old is actually old and will there be any parts in speaker that's life will be reduced on usage.

Have seen you sale post earlier. Still they are there with you but I didn't find the post anymore.

Don't worry, I have seen theils in AP showroom though I haven't listen to them and i am not an audiophile atleast now to appreciate the difference between various speakers.

Anyhow just want some good guidelines on buying used speakers so that it will help us a lot

@BLASTO - Thats one of the -ve side of upgradation without selling the previous one. The potential buyers come and see the old one, then they ask to play the new one, just for the sake of it. And then they walk away (saying, "I will let you know") he he!

@duggirala_in - Don't need to be an audiophile to appreciate an audiophile's upgrade It is quite evident on first listening.
