Need help with freeagent goflex ex drive and freeagent theatre

Hi guys, great forum!!

Just got a freeagent goflex ultra-portable drive,
Also a freeagent theatre multimedia hard disc player.(STCED101-RK)

When i slide the external drive into place and click on 'freeagent go', i get a mesage,

'nothing is connected to this port, please insert a freeagent go'

Tried both, Freeagent go and external storage icons...nothing.

When i connect using usb, works perfectly well..
A bit green when it comes to all this tech stuff

Help plz..
