Need new headphones/iems for under 1.2-1.3k

Hey all!!

My first post here so pardon my inexperience

As the title suggests , I need a new set of headphones or iems for under 1.2k

Uses : Gaming, movies.

Also for gaming, which would be better, iems or headphones?

Can you suggest headphones?? Aren't they better for gaming?? What about Sony xb400??

No headphone under 1.2K is good for gaming. If you can consider IEMs, then there are a few. What you need is a headphone with good soundstage for pinpointing directions like enemy footsteps & good bass for effects during explosions. Mike can be attached separately. The cheaper ones seldom fulfill these 2 main criterias. So I'll suggest you increase your budget a bit & look for a second hand headphone or pull the trigger on a Soundmagic PL30. I've used PL30 with a Zalman mic during CS Lan gaming & was very satisfied.
