New release vinyl

Thanks a lot. This is really cool. These chaps are music publishers (a record label, as they're referred to), not just a reseller. This is a lot of enthusiasm and investment. Wish them well.
Yes exactly
Even Black groove is same , they are music publishers.

Black Groove has infact recorded their first album as producers with shujaat Khan. Its a 4 LP set. Currently the music is out on Spotify.
In about 6 months or so the vinyl will release

I was only talking about the specific Jagjit title. Do you have it with you? If you do then a feedback from you would be great for the benefit of others.
I gave in and bought the lp. It sounds nice. Thanks for the reco :) I also got Josh. That too sounds nice.

Saregama has released kishore kumar, Rafi and Asha bhonsle Vinyl's along with Lata mangeshkar Vinyl

A new LP has just released today by Saregama to commemorate 1st death anniversary of Lata Mangeshkar. Available at Saregama website.

Lata Mangeshkar LP
Saregama has released kishore kumar, Rafi and Asha bhonsle Vinyl's along with Lata mangeshkar Vinyl

Don't buy these if you already have original Album vinyls,

Me and few FMs have compared side by side the original albums with these released by Saregama, and they sound compressed dull and some songs are slow.
Better of not buying these, I wish they were true to source.

Same here, i bought all four
The problem with most music companies is they have the source but do not appoint a right re mastering and sound engineer who knows about vinyl listening . Black groove Mr Koushik has given importance to remastering . Finally it all boils down to RoI. Music lovers are left in the lurk .

I bought Dil Se Vinyl which was released by Ishtar after reading reviews that its SQ is excellent.
When I played it and compared it against the same album from Apple Music Lossless format, i could figure some of the finer nuances from a typical ARR composition which was no way audible in the Vinyl.

So as rightly mentioned above by other FMs there seems to be a gap in having the right set of remastering and sound engineers who can reproduce magic with such classics on Vinyl.
Infact for the love of media I picked up the Dil Se CD and it sounds much more wonderful than the Vinyl.

Got this on email

Releasing this May, for the first time ever 4 classic Sufi verses presented by the legendary Ustad Shujaat Khan. This vinyl is even more special for Black Groove Music as they turn producers for the first time with this album.

Recorded at Island City Studio in Mumbai, the album features behind the scene images of the recording process, the mastery of the man himself
.

i suspected this to be the case and stayed away from buying newly pressed vinyls for Hindi.

Mirza Ghalib Jagjit Chitra 2 lp set is available on Saregama. It’s for Rs 4990. Word on the street is it sounds better than the original press

The Wall, no idea. But I guess it won’t be good. Original DD was analogue recording. Best to stick to original.

Mirza Ghalib was a much later pressing. I guess around 1989. Most vinyls pressed in that period seldom sounded good. Don’t know if it was because of poor mastering or bad quality vinyl.

I find new presses of Sajida, Dil Padosi Hai, Jo Jeeta better sounding than the original presses. Maine Pyar Kiya, Chandni and Lamhe sound better on original presses. The new ones are no good.
