The Saadhana Version 3 is truly outstanding. Break in is still happening. I guess another 50-60 hrs or so. I have heard and owned many top end speakers. I can confidently say this speaker is at the top end of the game. It looks stunning too. And for the price its a steal.

You pretty much echo exactly my thoughts. After listening to this speaker, it is almost impossible to choose any other.

I had the pleasure of listening to Prem's set up on Saturday evening. Prem is a very gracious host. His home and the way he has done it up, gives you a clue as to the kind of sound you will hear once he fires up the system!
His home has a very open feel to it, unlike most homes in Mumbai. Each and very wall and object has been carefully put up. Clearly every detail has been worked upon. My impression was that that the sound would be in the same genre: open, beautiful and detailed.
We started up the system and at first it was like a good high-end system... But as we moved in to the 3rd song, (we started with some old Bollywood tracks, moved to Telegraph Road by Dire Straits) the sound started "blossoming".
At some point Joshua joined us and we realised that we had already been listening to the set up for an hour and a half!
Time just flew!
Prem has clearly refined the set up to a level that it now looks simple: Viren's heavily modded Lyrita amp, the EMT table and the Sadhna v3 speakers! The speaker wire is Liveline.
After a good 2 hour session where we experienced the speakers open out and blossom, I can only say this: this speaker is fantastic!
If I didn't have my highly optimised Altec, buying the new. Rethm Saadhna's would have been a no-brainer.
The sound is exceptional. And what makes it even more appealing to me is the fact that this is not only a world class product in terms of sound but also with its build and styling... And made wholly in India!
I must congratulate Prem on his choice and even more proud of Jacob George- sir you are an inspiration!

My impressions after the all-too-brief listening session were that it bettered v2 in the mids and the bass. The v3 improved on the v2 in the palpability in the mid range. I also heard improved midrange tonality (v2 was already very good in this department). Acoustic guitar plucks were so real - it was truly like it was being played in the left hand corner of the room. It hasn't lost any of its capability for wild dynamic swings either. The Lowther drivers are certainly not missed! The new drivers, with their jewel-like whizzer cone (unlike the staid domes on the Lowthers) seem to be very effective in breaking up the infamous (slash famous) shoutiness. I think Mr Desai and Mr Jacob have achieved a fine balance.
But the headline feature for me is the bass. More punch, much better tonality, while remaining taut and ready to keep up with the rest of the spectrum.
Rethm has wrought a major improvement. Bravo!

I have found these qualities in every iteration of Rethm. What has been different in the various versions is the texture and extension of bass. In Version 3 because of the larger single driver the mids too have better dynamics and palpability

Congratulations prem on the new Saadhnas. From everybody's reaction whoever have heard it, it seems, these are wonderful speakers. When I visited you some years ago, I overall enjoyed the Saadhnas you had then (not sure which version I heard, probably v1). Wish I could hear your new Saadhnas some day.

I dream of this speaker every day and have already bothered Jacob George multiple times through my mails asking for the prices ..I have reduced my system to a wharf 9.1 though driven by the mighty sugden a21se.My next buy is a Rethm Saadhana V3 as soon as I have sufficient fund for it (hopefully early next year) ..

You should be very happy as and when you get the V3. They are wonderful speakers. But to be honest even the v2 was very very good. In a smaller listening place there might not be a perceptible difference.

Thanks Dr Bass. Yes it's a matter of great pride that we have a totally made in India speaker, including the driver, which is world class and can compete with the very best. And most importantly at prices which are nearly one third or less

In the last year we had two very near and dear elderly ones in the family pass away, and one other having a hip replacement. My wife and I have been preoccupied with all this, because we were the only ones to look after. As a result we have been emotionally and physically drained.
I have two seminar invitations in Bombay in the next six months or so. I wish to come for at least one of them. When I am there, I would definitely like to listen to your system. It would be my honour. Thanks a lot for the invitation. In the meanwhile, all the best wishes in the audio world and beyond.

the Rethm Saadhanas let the music flow in a very easy manner... no fuss no stress and each nuance is felt by the listener.
It felt like i was sitting in a desi bar with a drink in hand and Ghulam Ali playing live... the ambience is created...
switch to some devotional and i think i was introspecting...
play L Subramaniam ... and you hear the fullness of the violin and mridangam... and thats possibly due to the recording mike being closer to the instrument being played.
switch to Norah Jones.... you feel like you are in a front seat of a live concert at a sophisticated venue in a darkened hall and voice and all the instruments surround you.
Its like holding a mirror to the record being played... you only hear whats there in the record... and surprisingly the electronics in between vanish ( and thats a tribute to the electronics in between and to prems selection of them ).
Lovely speakers these... and i wish Jacob good success in the markets abroad and in india and i see no reason why ( with the excellent looks fit and finsh ) these cannot adorn more living rooms and audio rooms in HNW Indian homes today.
These are better music and better bang for the buck as compared to quite a few reputed brands in the market.
I look forward to having the opportunity to listen to it for some more time maybe a month or so down the line when they open up a touch more and settle down.
Now if Jacob could put in a little Made in India etching... that would be the icing on the cake ( i hope i did not miss seeing it in case it is already there )
