No 5.1 Input(dolby) on SEt Max HD - Tata Sky HD.

Hi.

I noticed there is no Dolby output for channel #306 Set max HD this time through Coaxial Output.
i have connected Taka sky HD to Onkyo 3400 Amp.
Input Coax1
PCM
2.0 Ch 48 Khz
Output : i have to keep Neo:6 Cinema 5.1 channel.

While if i switch to channel #302, the input change to Dolby D.

Any Advice or idea.

Its correnct Max HD is transmitting stereo sound only which is I beleave far better than fake 5.1 sound that is used on other sports channels.

Originally, SET MAX HD is transmitting Stereo Sound only. If you see Dolby sound, I assume your DTH operator has enabled pseudo 5.1 sound, that could be worse than normal Stereo Sound. These DTH operator specially Airtel and TataSky are applying DRC on most of their HD channels and screwing the original sound quality of channel broadcaster. As a customer, we should not unnecessarily request these DTH operators for 5.1 sound on each HD channel (Until the channel itself originally broadcasting 5.1 sound).

Have you changed the Audio settings in your STB to Dolby from PCM? (Organizer>User Settings>Audio Settings)
