Onkyo HTS 3400 Setup

Hi Guys,

I am facing an issue with Philips BD player connected to Onkyo 3400 receiver via HDMI cable and Coaxial cable for Sound. As currently I dont have LCD/LED TV with HDMI input, I have taken Monitor out (Yellow component cable) from Onkyo and plugged into TV. The issue is while switching on BD player i am getting error message on my TV stating that HDMI not connected.

Also I have mapped the HDMI input with sound component for BD player.

My current setup is

BD -> HDMI -> Oknyo -> TV (via Monitor out) -> Not working
Airtel HD DTH -> HDMI -> Onkyo - For sound
Airtel HD DTH - Component -> TV on AV1 - For Video

So I removed the HDMI from BD player and connected using Yellow Component cable to TV for BD video. Audio is processed via Coaxial cable from BD to Onkyo.

Please help me to fix this issue.

Use BD>HDMI>Onkyo for sound.
You don't need coaxial cable to handle audio as HDMI can do the same.
Connect video out of your BDP to video in of onkyo or the tv.
