Onkyo TX-NR 809 or Yamaha RX-A3000

Hi,

I am planning to buy Onkyo TX-NR 809 or Yamaha RX-A3000 receivers from US. Currently, both are retailing for USD 650 and 900 respectively. I could not test it on the same speakers so cannot actually make up my mind which one to go for. I have read good reviews for both the AVR, but have heard that Onkyo tend to heat up and Yamaha has superior build quality. Can anyone please give me some feedback on this and also the overall which is better AVR?

They may not give it free with highend AVRs as its expensive.

Last time I spoke they said they will give, but I do not expect a maxine brand thou.

@op , the highend yamaha series are very well regarded.


Read some reviews online, compare specs and features and finally audition and decide.

Mate, is this the price for 220V 809 with bill & warranty ? The 110v 1009 is available for 72.5 with avenue...
