What is the general opinion on musicality of mordaunt short and wharfedale subwoofers ? which brand is better just for music not movies .. fast tight musical bass

try these out. make sure it doesnt sound boomy or one note.
prefer sealed over ported if you want it just for music.

btw a movies sub has tougher requirements to meet than a music sub.

all the models listed are ported, sealed is wharfedale sw 250 but i think it would be expensive ... anybody know the price ?

You cannot generalize like a movie sub would definitely go to a lower extension in the frequency spectrum but a musical subwoofer is supposed to be punchy, accurate etc.

Try bargaining the price of SW150 it should be available for 18 to 19k max. 21K what you are paying is little bit on the higher side
