Panasonic Plasma 42GT20D - panel cracked :(

Hi...

Reaching out to this forum to seek advice reg Panasonic Plasma TV

The panel of my 4 year old Panasonic 42GT20D cracked.
The TV doesnt turn on at all - when I switch on the power LED initially turns green for couple of seconds before changing to red. The screen doesnt turn on at all...
I called in the authorized service technicians but they haven't been too helpful and are asking me to buy new TV instead.

Wanted to chk w this forum for any options to extend the life of my Panny Plasma -- I still prefer Plasma to the current bunch of LED TVs and would love to stay w Plasma until I can afford an OLED...

Sorry to hear that. You will be lucky to find a same model TV with a working screen. Otherwise, I am not sure if anything else can be done. It's difficult to get spares for even a 2 year old TV.

Hi there, one of the sale post lists a 51 Samsung plasma. Very nice model. Pl see if it fits your requirement. It's difficult to get a new plasma now. I tried a lot and went for a used one instead.
