pathetic servicing from Sonodyne

they called me and asked the serial number on the box and the subwoofer.they cunningly replaced the serial number by placing a printed sticker on the subwoofer and they are saying its brand new.

you can see the serial number written 119200192.the serial number on the box is also same.
sonodyne marketing manager abhishek choudary called me and asked the serial number in both the box and on the subwoofer.sonodyne people pasted the paper with serial number on the subwoofer.you can clearly understand even we can do this:p.

And they are saying if the serial number on the box and subwoofer is same then its a new unused product.Again they are making me big fool:clapping::clapping::clapping:.
 
Why only blame Sonodyne 99.99% brand has pathetic servicing and excellent sales promotion !!
 
This is post for all guys looking for sonodyne products.I have lost my patience and very sad to post this thread.
let me explain a lil bit first.
My subwoofer roarr 210 showed excessive humming problem.I got it as brand new from my dealer.
I send it to service center bangalore and they replaced the amplifier module.
After that I noticed the tonal quality has been drastically changed and the sound became very bad.the amp heat excessively even after 10 minutes of use.

I called the service guy and other sonodyne heads and they said me send it back and they said they are sending a new piece as replacement.

I have lost so much time for all this.I have no dealer in kottayam and I have to go to cochin which is 80kms away from my town.Yesterday I went to cochin and Sonodyne people send me a 1 year old piece for me.

these are pics of the rplacement sub.You can clearly see its a used one and this one is a 1 year old model of roarr 210.the driver is silver colour which is the model before two years and they upgraded there driver and amp section Now the roarr 210 comes with black driver with upgraded amplifier.So that they increased the price from 16k to 19.5k

Hi. we would like to address the issues you have addressed please, and our action therein

1. Humming sound: We brought the product to our service centre in Bangalore and checked the same. There was no hum observed. However, to rule out any intermittent problem, we replaced the amp PCB with new one, kept the set on load, and sent the same back to you. On receiving this, you observed some tonal issues. We had not observed the same (hum or tone change) in our service centre. Both hum and tonal issues are new findings that we want to study further and hence and we have sent your set to our lab so we can test for continuous improvement.

On the brand new set sent to you:

2. Silver woofer: We are happy to inform you that the current batch of new products use this silver, newer, improved woofer. The colour change reflects this permanent batch change.

3. Bottom inserts: These are meant to insert the isolation spikes. They are qc'd with the spikes to ensure a proper fit. This is a standard process and feature.

In conclusion both us and you are music lovers. We understand every point you have mentioned. We are happy to address your concerns and request that you please speak with us directly on email ([email protected]) or on telephone with Abhishek with whom you have already interacted.
 
why are you talking that I am blaming sonodyne only, this condition happened from the brand Sonodyne.
are you saying that I have to blame all the brands.I posted this because people must aware about the problems facing by customers.

I am not producing Indian currency by my own.I am earning by my hard work.

Very poor attitude by Sonodyne, was contemplating 2605 v3, but not anymore. It's despicable how they think they can take customers for a ride, just like that. I would keep bothering them until they provide the correct replacement, how long it takes.You have all the right to go forward with the battle.

I purchased this product before 3 months and I only used my product around 15 hours.I am running back with this for 2 months regarding my problem.

I have no dealer in kottayam I have to go every time to cochin (160kms from city to cochin).3 times I took leave for this.

I am an audio engineer.I can clearly understand if a product is used or new.

If you are doing the right thing give me a genuine piece otherwise dont give me a subwoofer take my money I am really happy.

I recommended them to buy it.we put the spike holes after receiving the box piece.

if sonodyne is saying again they sent me a new piece, every customer must see that piece and must understand, how the condition of a new sealed product of sonodyne.

Every time I have to call them and ask them.I will wait for monday for the last decision.
 
Sonodyne md Anindya Mukharjee called and promised me to give me a new one as replacement.He called me last week and I am waiting for it.

Hi, not to offend you, but i have gone thru the whole thread and the spike holes are standard in all the Roar 210 subs afaik, u shud also know being an audio engineer. No body makes holes later in the subs to accomodate the spikes!!! The holes are always there only we use the spikes if we want to.

I cant comment on the heating or humming issues, but would like to mention that I am using Genie2 5.1 and roar210 (black driver) for the last 2 years (4-5hrs daily) sometimes more than 12hrs at a stretch but didnt face any problem till now. For the serial number, even my sub has a sticker pasted, where is the problem? maybe the backpanel is mass produced beforehand and when the sub is assembled they put the sticker.

In my opinion the roar210 is a very good Sub and if tuned and positioned properly then it will rock your world.

^^^I already said about that Sonodyne sent me a replacement sub,it has realy poor cosmetic condition.Port is filled with lots of dust.front portion got scratches.

I am not saying the sub performance is bad.its a really good sub.also I love it so much:o.

Now its around 2 and half months with out my sub.I need the same performance and the quality that I experience earlier from SONODYNE.
So I am waiting patiently:).

I have no personal hate to the brand Sonodyne.I just need a genuine product for the money I spent.

I placed order for SiA 310, and 6305 v3, came in perfect condition, very good packaging.

Me scare, why it not have that effect such as the demo piece.

Me write to Sonodyne.

They tell it take 100-200 hours to get the kind of effect as in demo piece.

Poor cosmetic quality is not acceptable not even with a single scratch or dust, its hard earned money. Hope your problem get resolved at the earliest.
 
I have seen MANU's problem over FB and now following this thread.
Why can't a new sub land at MANU's place? How long does he have to wait?
Manu is a real gentleman to be so patient.
 
@drkaushik Sir I am really happy to see the reply by you.I have been waiting for one month now after I posted the thread in our forum.
Sonodyne md called me personally and I explained all to him.He said he will send me a new subwoofer for me.
I am patiently waiting for it.
