Based on the specs I think they are the same. I'm assuming the only differences lie in PCI and PCI-Express slots.

The RMAA test described in the pdf is fantastic. Is there a linux equivalent of that software?

Currently dont have that.
Xonar DX features with EAX 5.0 whereas expensive D2X with EAX 2.0 only.
Can new driver help D@X?

Sounds like a lot of bull to me
"A typical state-of-the-art DAC converts between quantization levels in the digital y-axis and the analog y-axis and is completely transparent and open as to what happens on the x-axis (time domain).."
"clock jitter from incoming digital audio signals can be described as an analog signal that gets mixed together ..."
I don't think these statements will stand up to any kind of scrutiny. The entire tone of the article sounds fraud and makes me suspicious :indifferent14:
Looks like somebody trying to make a fast buck selling a $$ device for $$$$ ...
