I will be updating my AVR so that the new one supports DTS HD and Dolby True HD or i will be getting a player which can decode those formats and will bitstream it.. Totally by the end of 2011 my set up shd be almost complete in terms of supporting formats..

Advance Happy new year wishes to all our members..

Cheers

yeah .. me too looking to get into some kind of DIY.. i would like to start with a sub i guess. to add to my projected stereo setup...

also list adds to a hifi rack and stands as there are wires all over my ground..

people come n say what the heck.. but i love em.. i feel like i can see the signals travelling through them and giving me audio nirvana..

I'll be getting a nice turntable..a Scheu or VPI, possibly. Also might buy a nice tube preamp from Hong Kong or Singapore.

A good AVR.
Pair of great Floorstanders and center speaker to complete 5.1 using CVs as fronts.
Rekindle gaming with PS3,X360 and upgrading PC.

i just bought an marantz pm5003,wharf diamond 10.1 and marantz cd6002 last week....so my hifi buy for atleast the next 6months is done!.....hopefully!!!....still need to buy some good speaker cables though!..............

not an electronic.. however added two thick. carpets to my hall.. sounds lil better now..

also added 1000va sine wave invertor...

1.5 5 star rated AC added to my audio video room.. summers gonna be hell this year.. who knows when doomsday gonna come to buying before that.. hehe

An AVR, 2 front BS speakers and subwoofer. The Centre and rear speakers will be later.
AVR - either Marantz or Yamaha
Front speaker - May be Dali Lektor-2 (as they are easy for placement)
Subwoofer - Deftech Supercube-III
Rear speakers - Any low priced - may be Wharfdale

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
