Playing HD through USB on LG 47LH50

Hi friends.. Is it possible in any way to play a HD file through USB on a 47LH50?

The US model of the same TV apprantely plays HD but the India version is different. Is it somehow possible to upgrade the firmware to get HD through USB capability?

Also can anyone help in figuring out how to access the service menu? Std menu+menu options available on the net don't seem to work..

this is probably applicable to most LG tvs. You may try this and tell us if it works. Since the model is different YMMV

Ram - Thanks. I had seen this site but as you said it's not applicable for asia versions.. i use a bb so can't try out the ir trick mentioned..

have u tried calling the lg technician over and see what he says?? i'm thinking of doing that and will let you know what i find out
