Hi guys, which wood is good to use as a front baffle for the speakers??

Sides, top and bottom will be mdf or plywood. Basically the front baffle is also done with MDF. The real wood will be the second layer of front baffle.

It adds to strength and cosmetics too.
Any suggestions please....
(If you give some wood varaities names, i have to check if local hyderabad guys can identify them )

Go for Birch wood. I don't know I you can source big sheets in India. How big is speaker? You can also use Rose wood lot of sources in Mysore.

Hi Naveen
You can use a variety of woods, depending on budget. I've used rosewood, white cedar, red cedar and pine for my front baffles. Pine is very cheap, others are more expensive.

Thank you very much George !!! Il check those options. :)
My only concern is timber may compress or expand based on moisture content and seasonal changes.
Some timbers may give cracks over a period of time.
In that sense im trying to figure out which timbers are safe with less possibility of cracks

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
