Roku 4 Activation Issue

Friends,
I have acquired a Roku 4 player from one of the FM.But I cant operate it as it needs activation over internet.Creating New Roku account can't be completed as web page displays "Service Announcement
We are experiencing technical difficulties and are unable to fulfill your request at this time. We are working toward resolving the problem and appreciate your patience."
Please help me out..

Other forums mentioned doing a hard reset. Roku servers are also blamed for down time.
I am not a Roku user so this info is just off the net.
