I got an offer to buy a mint condition Sansui TU-S77X (non wooden panel) model for around 2.5k. Saw good reviews in the net:

Sansui of the era were good and as you said its condition is fine. So for 2.5k you should just go for it
Are you getting it from USA or you are back in india?
