My setup:

Source:
Windows 10 x64
Core i7 6700 + H170 Motherboard
Asus Strix GTX 970

AVR:
Denon AVR-X510BT [Multiple inputs]
Inputs
Game: PS4
CBL/SAT: Tatasky HD Set top box
Media Player: PC

Display:
DVI monitor [directly connected to DVI port on the GTX 970]
Optoma HD20 [Connected via the AVR]

PC is set to display via primary screen only [HDMI is considered primary by the hardware.]

I want the display to directly switch to the projector when the AVR and Projector are on, and the input is set to Media Player [PC]

This is what used to happen

AVR on
Projector on
Input Media Player
Audio -> AVR connected speakers
Video -> AVR connected Projector

AVR on
Projector off
Input Media Player
Audio -> AVR connected speakers
Video -> PC connected Monitor

AVR on
Projector on/off
Input any other than Media Player
Audio -> PC Connected Speakers
Video -> PC Connected Monitor

AVR off
Projector on/off
Input any
Audio -> PC Connected Speakers
Video -> PC Connected Monitor

What happens now

AVR on
Projector on/off
Input any other than Media player
No Audio
No Video

AVR on
Projector on
Input Media Player
Audio -> AVR connected speakers
Video -> AVR connected Projector

I want it to go back to what it was.

A friend came over and messed with some settings.
I've done a factory reset, but still it doesn't work like it used to

Go the Geforce Control panel and set in to dual displays and set your audio device as the GTX. You don't need a friend to mess up the setting. Its not an issue with your AVR. Windows is the Culprit

Bloody windows messes up for me too

The problem I face is, when my Sony is the Primary for audio transport( connected to AVR ), and monitor Is used as Primary for Windows, the bloody Geforce menu jumps to TV when the taskbar and windows start menu are in Monitor.

Am unable to clone displays because my Monitor is not a Full HD monitor where as my TV is.

Another issue is since CEC is enabled, when I switch off my TV, there goes the AVR off with it. I didn't have more time to play on the over all cumulative settings. WIll let you know later
