Segate Barcuda 7200 rpm HD Not recognized by xtreamer pro ?

Recently i bought a 2tb Segate Barcuda 7200 rpm Hard disc which is not recognized by xtreamer pro and also in my bluetimes coopa 3d player.
any suggestions regarding ....

Does it get recognised if connected to a PC?

Is it pre-formatted? If so what is the format?

I think xtreamer pro can be accessed through ssh. If you know little bit of linux check if the HDD is already recognized by the OS using the command dmesg

Check if the HDD is partitioned using GPT or MBR..if it's in GPT it won't be recognised in xtreamer pro or 3d player.
To know..connect to pc..Disk management-->right click on the disk-->Properties-->Volume-->Partition style.

Delete all existing partition -> Create a partition of only 2TB out of 3TD HDD and then try.

Use this tool Free Partition Magic alternative. Best Free Partition Manager Freeware for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8 32 bit & 64 bit - EaseUS Partition Master Free Edition. to format 3 tb drive in MBR.

Then try connecting it.

This may be useful for you. I have been using the HDD since then without any issue (single 3 partition, around 2.8 TB available for usage). Have added another batch of media and now this has more than 2 TB media in it.

how did you get it working in detail?
assume GPT instead of MBR.
which blocksize when formatting?

tried a lot on iXtreamer, but didn't get it working.
