Seller from Spain Fake???

I have received a PM from a new member randy from Spain with 0 posts offering to sell me equipment against a Wanted (Quad pre and power amps) thread started by me. He has signed the message as [email protected].

Could he be the same person against whom a fellow member was warned some time ago? I seek advice on what to do.

Yes, I too have got an email from him regarding a Item that I had posted in the Wanted Section. He claims he has the Apple airport express that I wanted.

Brothers, let me tell you the one adage we all live by "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!"

Trust me, I learnt through experience. When it comes to buying used A/V equipment, go with a trusted source. Even if it is a fellow member here, do your due deligence to verify the worth. I guess you are doing exactly that...so good on you!

If you guys are willing to buy from a phoren seller , why not try audiogon ?

he may be a spam
he will ask you to pay via western union then he will vanish beaware of those guys

as per indian custom rules you shoudnt import used items

I also got replies from him regarding some of the items that I wanted and I deleted them without giving any second thoughts.

Okay so that almost makes him a spam. You can pass to moderator to get his credentials validated and probably block if he is non complaint
