SET MAX HD, Star Movies HD, Star Gold HD Test Started in Tata Sky

Channels are 202, 302 and 342 ....

Start Plus HD, Star world HD and start movies HD are just great but star gold HD looks ok to me. Sound quality of Star moves HD is fine and looks like DD sound not sure its true DD5.1. My tata sky HD+ software has alos got updated today and after that I realise volume has been little low after that on these channels.

Star Plus HD
Star Movies HD

All these channels are 1080i (even Star plus is truHD now) , thanks to TS for bringing these home

Its worth watching dexter , Las vegas in HD on Star World.....
and Star movies without any ad breaks ... WOW

So, finally TS is living up to its promises.

But, the added HD channels have not been updated in their site yet. Wonder if it is official yet.

Also, I own the TS HD (not the +HD) and I am wondering if I can get to watch these. Checked this morning and couldn't find the new ones. Will be calling TS CC soon.

Watched few Mins of Las Vegas in Star World HD...it looked really fantastic.Star Gold HD is Just OK..not great.

Now I only wish for an option to turn off the Subtitles.

Tata SKY should be appreciated to bringing these channels to Indian Consumers before other DTH companies. But still I don't understand why Movies NOW HD is missing when other DTHs are having them.

Showcase HD channel is missing in their channel list...when asked CC, said that "It is missing B'coz they don't have any HD movie to telecast". What a shameless excuse....

Travel XP HD is missing as well on TS. Is there a connection ? I believe both are indirectly from Times group.

I hope the HD pack will still remain at Rs50. They should not price it ridiculously high.

ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS! Looks like these are in TRUE DD5.1 now... FINALLY. While some will disagree, on my 32" HD Ready TV, it feels like I am watching a BR! I just saw Don (New) and it felt the same I saw on a BR 720p rip I had with DTS 24bit. I will try to compare both, but doesn't matter till I am happy!

OUTSTANDING JOB BY STAR AND TATASKY I MUST SAY! Now, no more FAKE HD channels on TS! Hope it remains the same. Instead of showing fake HD channels, they should concentrate on improving SD channels quality and bringing more TRUE HD channels.

They should be available for TS HD as well. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC They are REAL HD in REAL DD5.1 (atleast as I have observed till now). Audio JITTER continues on some of these channels do, "shakes" for a second every few seconds. Hope they fix these issues soon which is spoiling their SD channels as well for now.

I am eagerly waiting to go home today and watch these channels. Now I am thinking of going for HT Setup since Star Movies is showing in DD5.1 ( thanks to prankey )

Would someone tell me if Onkyo HTS3300 enough to connect to my TV Samsung 40"??
I use AVR only for 70% Movies and 30% Music..

Yes audio jitter is very annoying. I remember Nat Geo HD or Discovery HD used to have this issue initially when they launched in HD. Hope they will fix it faster than earlier.
