3 warranty? .. do u mean to say 3 yrs warranty? So do you mean to say +2 yrs Sony extended warranty?

BTW the price he is quoting looks on the higher side.. considering that gadgets like TV looses their value dramatically in the first few months/ years.. If he gets anything above 50k, I think he should consider lucky..

yes tell him to keep it and buy something later 2 years..
he will hardly get 40k i think.
as size mattters if a 40 inch is dis satisfying a 46 inch surly will be....for a movie nothing is very big.its our eye and brain set up who plays with our mind........
so tell him to keep it and enjoy it.

Yes the price is on the high side. I picked up my 40" HX800 for 50k in 2011.
