Hello everyone
I have a really old pair of 2-way Sony SS-300 bass reflex speakers, Recently the woofers in one of the speakers gave up on me.
The current woofer has a max rating of 50 w RMS at 8 ohms. and is screwed on to the speaker cabinet from the inside.
I am not very experienced with speaker repair, but common sense tells me that i could get these speakers up and running if i just changed the woofers.
Although what im not sure of is whether changing the the woofer would affect the tweeter as well ?
I tried looking around for woofers in Bangalore and i couldnt come up with much, A friend of mine mentioned a brand "bolton" which he said would be available in SP road for about Rs 2000 a pair.
Im not too sure about the quality of these bolton speakers, could someone please provide me with some information regarding this brand.
Also if you know of any other brands that are recommended and available in Bangalore please do let me know.
