sound card for logi...z5500

hi...i just bought a logitech z5500 5.1 multimedia speakers......
this site and forums were a good help for me to know more about z5500....and i thank to all of them posters........

now i am confused on sound cards.......wht sound card shld i go for to get the best out of logi...z5500.....

whts ur opinion in
1.) PCI Express Sound Blaster X-fi Xtreme Audio
2.) PCI Express Sound Blaster X-fi Titanium

For raw movie and audio performance, go for Asus Xonar DX PCI EX card....should cost around 4.5k.

If you can get your hands on Auzentech, it will be great. If not then get Asus Xonar D2X or DX according to your budget. What's your budget, btw ?

X-Plosion is 7.5K (approx)
X-Fi Prelude is 5K (do)
X-Fi Bravura is 8K (do)
X-Fi Forte is 9.5K (do)
Xonar DX is 4.5K (do)
Xonar D2X is 9.5K (do)
Xonar Essence ST is 9.5K (do)

For movies and gaming, Razer Barracuda is simply awesome but it has only S/PDIF ports and will come for 9.8K (approx)

D2X(7.1) has both optical & coaxial sharing connector.
DX dont have Dts encoder.DAC are different.SPDF is shared with another line in/out.

There is Auzentech X-Raider 7.1 which has Optical output and is in your budget buy I don't think it will have DTS encoding.


Edit : Wow, you said it's Logitech Z5500, missed that. Z5500 has it's internal Dolby Digital and DTS encoder. I'm using Z5500 without any soundcard and I get Dolby / DTS although I use Optical and AC3 Filter. There was one card Auzen X-Plosion 7.1 DTS Connect which was purana model of the new X-Plosion. You might be able to find it in your budget, it will be great. It was a great card and would go perfectly with Z5500. I don't think you will find any other sound card in that budget. You can also get used card too maybe which has some warranty left.

thnks a lot bro...but the prob is......i am in kerala and i cant get hold of good soundcards.....even for ma z5500 i shipped it frm banglore......anyway i will try ma best.......bcoz i want the best out of dat monster speakers.....
