Another US based speaker manufacturer is 'Ohm' speakers - though I have no idea about their pairing with your amplifier. You can also check out 'odyssey' audio. They have a bookshelf speaker based on scanspeak drivers. One more to check out is 'Fritz' audio. Most of the above brands ship direct to your home and offer generous trial periods - with a return option.

P.S - I have not heard any of the above speakers - suggestions are based on reading reviews.

I started reading about Salk and I can see a lot of good reviews and very good feedback from Salk owners. I mailed Jim Salk and he replied and I am visiting his office this Saturday. Soundscape has Accuton drivers,let me go and decide. One good thing is that there is no dealer and retailer in between so I guess Salk products will be good VFM .

From salk, the soundscape and veracity range speakers are quite nice. They get rave reviews. Not heard any myself. But people who has visited shows have come away smiling ear to ear after listening to them.

Soundscape are serious high end. The song series are great value. Veracity rides in between.

I am looking in to audiogon, missed one Salk tower speaker option.
Problem is most of the sellers are far from my place.

Size of the room decides the speaker size. I think you should take your amp when you for the listen. Salks love power. Best of luck

Since you are moving away from compact 7, is dynamics the only thing that you want more as a virtue of sound upgrade?

they are my dream speakers for D120, which speakers are better is subjective, I have heard them and dynamics are better then Compact 7es3. C1 is more 3D compared to compact for sure.

Hi Guru,

Dynaudio I was bit worried about power requirement. I know that it loves power. There is a Tannoy Turnberry in audiogon for a good price but the seller is far from my place.

At present I am thinking of Salk speakers and I am trying the silk monitor.
I dont want to buy speaker without listening. Salk is near to my place and only problem is all speakers are made to order and need to wait to get it.

I will mostly go with Salk speakers as of now.
Confused between Song 3A, Song Encore and Soundscape 8. Soundscape 8 is expensive so I may settle with Song3A or Encore due to budget.

I need to wait for three months to get the speaker (based on current order queue) and it can be more if you opt for any exotic finish for speakers.

Can't see a 3A on the site. But must be an active version. But why the ceramic mid range? Not sure if a devialet will match well with a ceramic.
Of course never heard a salk nor a devialet ceramic pairing. So just assumtions.

It is there in website, Song3-A is not active version. It uses a Raal ribbon tweeter, accuton mid range and Satori 7.5 inch woofer.

No issues with ceramic driver.
Imho a ceramic driver might not match well with your amp. Of course im just speculating.
Incase you have heard it with your amp & loved it, There's no point discussing it.
Maybe some others might have heard a ceramic speaker with devialet , might be able to give a better prespective.
