Speaker match for Decware se84cw

Hi All,

I have a Decware SE84CW, which is only 2w. I want to het the most out of it and it is the speakers in my rig that are letting it down. They are musical fidelity ref2's, they dont get very loud and distort badly.

I know i need highly sensitve speakers. I was hoping not to biamp or do anything overly complicated.

I am happy to diy a cabinet or open baffle.

What brand model would you recommend? I have been advised vistatron, supravox would match it well in an open baffle, i have also been advised a horn set would be good too but that may be a bit harder to build. Would fostex do the amp justice?

I Suggest 106dB Senstivity AER MD3's in TL's.

Good suggestions Aaron. But AFAIK I know, there's huge backlog for Voxativ drivers and Feastrex is prohibitively expensive. Depending on the listening tastes of OP, he could consider Omega Speakers. They sell drivers too. They aren't very expensive and also fit in his requirement of uncomplicated cabinet build.

Captain Rajesh you are Right abt everything. Infact I recently had a discussion on Leather Surround Voxativ's but they are the only one offering 108dB Sensitivity Drivers as of 2015.

Yes Feastrex is expensive but Omega's have undersized Alnico motors. I dont think they will be able to do justice to a 2 Watt Amp.

Which Feastrex would do with lot of ease being having a Senstivity rating of 104 dB.

BTW I like Omegas & Pls check where he Lives I Felt he could Afford them all.

Anyway I changed my Suggestion after reading your post.

The deciding factor for me right now would be driver cost.
Bang for buck would be my main consideration.

I dont think they will be able to do justice to a 2 Watt Amp.
