HEY FRIENDS, I AM PLANNING TO BUY DENON 2113, but i m nt getting a good speaker for it , price range 25000-35000

please suggest me denon 2113 is good or not, and compatible speakers

thnkx in advance

Given that you are picking an AV receiver i am safely assuming that you have movies in mind. It'd be helpful if you could share the reason for purchasing the AVR in detail. It'd help the forum members in advising you accordingly.
One of the thumb rule for buying speakers is to allocate twice the amount of an AVR eg. AVR 50k, allocate 50K*2= 100K for 5.1 speaker set up.
Coming back to your question, Denon 2113 is a good AVR. You may also want to audition Yamaha RX-V673 and Onkyo 616. All are in the same price range and have similar features.
For the amount you have allocated, you can get good book shelf speakers. Again, it'd entirely depend upon what you want. So share a little bit more and we'll be happy to help.

thanx for the reply, my room size is 12 ft x 12 ft, as u said thumb rule, but i dnt have that much mony to spend on ht. i m buying hometheater for music and movies both. why i choose denon 2113, because of so many features like airplay
please u suggest me abt it.

start with a bookshelf pair..and get all step by step....at 12 ft * 12 ft a pair of fs is not a must....its your choice...
if your main concern is movies....fs is not mandatory..instead a strong sub is needed undoutedly
good bookshelves
polk/wharfe/sonodyne....

if the set up is for movies....get a centre a also....

I am trying to figure out how to came to the conclusion that Denon 2113 was the right AVR for u... Did u hear is somewhere??? If yes then what speakers did u hear it with... My best guess is u have decided on this model due to online reviews rather than actually hearing it... Pls do demo a few AVRs, Speakers to see which is best suited to ur ear... Many prefer a warmer sound like denon or marantz(I like marantz better than Denon).. Others would prefer a more natural sound(like yamaha)... Until u listen to it u cant decide... One other option if ur are a 1st time buyer is to start slow... Buy a decent VFM amp(like toppling or any other T amp) with a set of decent book shelves(many good ones are available in the 15-30k range although u could actually start off with a JBL control one which is about 8k)... Later on when u have saved more money u can start buying equipments one by one... The bookshelves that u buy now would later become ur surround speakers... Through this method u can ensure u dont just blindly throw money into any setup without figuring out ur likes & dislikes... Until I had actually heard the Denon 1912, I was convinced that it was the AVR I wanted to buy based on online reviews... It was only during the Cinebels meet last year when we got to demo the 1912 vs the Marantz 5006 vs the Yamaha v667 did I realize that Denon was the total opposite of the kind of sound that I liked...I myself ended up buying a Harmon Kardon AVR3600... Also if u are still gonna make a blind jump into a 50-55k AVR then that money would be better spent buying a Marantz 5007 from Hifimart.com... Then buy a good set of Floor standers or bookselves in ur budget & upgrade step by step... My personal preference to buy a 5.1 system step buy step would be buy 2 FS then a good centre(for dialoges), then a good sub like velodyne & then think of surrounds... Surrounds are the weakest link & the last priority in ur setup...

PS if u are gonna stick to denon then the best matched speakers to it would be polk... Their RTI A3 bookshelves are quite nice & available for around 21k... Download the polk price list from here & calculate a min discount of 12-15% on the MRP... Also on my recent trip to Mumbai I tried out the TSi300 FS vs the RTI A3 BS(both priced the same) & found the RTi A3 to perform much much much better than the TSi300...

3) Speakers, i cant take demo in my city.

at 1 lakh get avr and centre and fronts only.
buy sub and rear later.
i still suggest plan your day.have appointments with such dealers who keep denon/onk/yamaha and 4 to 5 brands of speakers so that you camn compare.go to mumbai.spend the day.buy your stuff and get back to bilaspur.

for your room get a strong sub later.dont invest on fs.bs is quite okay for you.

on a comaprison 2113.....you may be satisfied with even 1612..imho 1912 is quite okay..i mean to say(just remebered the denon models so mentioned) comaparing onkyo and yamaha cousins as well...as you need to drive bs.so invest on goood speakers instead..

Personally I dont really like Denon... Its not bad per se, especially when compared to sony or bose, but when compared to other similar or lower priced rivals like HK,Yamaha, Marantz etc... As I said, during the cinebels meet we were in for a rude shock when we compared Denon against Marantz & Yamaha... Anyway coming back to ur present problem... I think everyone on this forum will recommend to u not to buy a system blind... You have to audition the system u are gonna buy... You are not buying a Rs 200 use & throw pen drive but rather a 1 lac home theatre system... 2nd thing would be to buy in steps if u can... This ensures that u are able to modify the system to ur liking... Sure over time u end up paying more than u initially planned but u will get a system that u will love & appreciate for years to come... But u have to try & demo this systems in Mumbai or somewhere before u buy...
I will try & list some of ur options below:-
1) u buy a Marantz SR6006 from Hifimart for 59k... Then u invest 45-50k in either a Polk RTi A7 Floorstander or a Pair of Polk RTi A3 Bookshelves + Polk RTi A6 Centre Channel... The advantage of buying a A3 & a A6 1st is that u get ur full set of Front speakers immediately & then later u can upgrade to a Sub & then maybe Floor standers, with the A3 moving tothe back as surrounds... Weather u like the matching of the Marantz with the polks u can determine by getting in touch with a FM named Soamz from bilaspur who has recently bought a Polk 5.1 with a denon 2113...

2) 2nd option is that u just request Soamz for a demo of his Denon 2113 with his polk set... If u really like this set than start building on this path... The motto of this suggestion is a bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush :D ...

3)3rd option is that u Buy the SR6006 & buy the Energy RC micro 5.0 available @ less than 11k here ... Now I know what u are thinking... These speakers are certainly not upto the mark of the SR6006... & You would be right... But these speakers perform fantastically for their price range & if gives u an option of later on adding a Good Sub & maybe 2 floor standers in the front while shifting the micros to surronds to make a 7.1 system... What it does is that right now u have a very powerful base(SR6006), a 5.0 surround set effect, The option of upgrading further to a 7.1 set plus it is well below ur budget(about 70k) which means u can save the 20-30k & add to it to invest in a good sub & Floor standers later... Plus these speakers match pretty well with Marantz...

4) Another option would be to buy the SR6006 plus a Polk TSi 5.0 set or the Sonodyne 5.0 set or the pioneer 51FS 5.1 set, all of which should be below the 50k mark... This will give u a complete 5.0 or 5.1 system from the get go & still be approx in ur budget... Also Hifimart has a few Denon AVR + 5.1 speaker systems a little over 1 lac which u could also look at...

Personally I like option 1 & option 4 the best...

I know it is a lot of process and I would recommend you dont rush ur purchases & audition whtever u want to buy before buying it... If u take my example, I have been planning & building my HT setup for more than a year now & till now the only things I have bought have been a Projector & a HK AVR3600 which I am using with my old Sony speakers... I am still to buy speakers myself & am still trying to judge weather I should go for polks or make my own via DIY... But going slow & also helped me take some imp steps, like dumping the idea of a lower end 3D projector & rather buying a higher end 2D projector instead, etc etc...
Anyway I have 3-4 long days ahead due to the marriage of my Best friend... So I might not be able to reply during the next few days...

Rajadeep very good conclusion.. good writing
