Hi All,
I am planning to buy either Marant m-cr 603 or Denon Ceol rcd-n7. Could anyone suggest which one should I go for?

Also I am looking for some real good monitors or speakers to match with this.
My budget for the speakers is aroung 25k. `since I live outside India I see a lot of difference in Prize. For Eg. KRK rokit 5 costs around 27k for a pair in India, where as it costs 18 k here, so considering that I have said 25k.

It would be great if someone can suggest me some speakers and which of the two system I should go for.

Thanks
Sriram

I have the Marantz 603 and it is very good. In fact I bought it after considering many models of Denon, Yamaha and onkyo. The factors that tilted it for marantz were the power, iPod and bluetooth compatibility and ability to connect 4 speakers. Plus the build quality is extremely good.

One way to save some money is to buy the Marantzm-cr503 which is the same as 603 minus DAB. This would have worked well for me but the 503 I could not source and had to pay for 603.

For Marantz 603 which is very good in performance and build quality first check the

speakers impedence and select the bookshelves with the following preferences in your

budget range 1) Epos 2) KEF (3) Mordaunt Short

For speakers I am using a pair of KEFs indoor as Speaker A and Polk Atrium outdoor Speakers as system B.

Even when driving 4 speakers I am getting decent power. Though when I turn off one speaker system the performance does go up by around 20-25%

imo you should first decide on your speakers and then select an amp that matches it

I explored this route before I got Surround Receiver.
You are better of getting either, Surround Receiver or going the separates way (more expensive). You dont gain much on quality or features with a stereo receiver (likely to loose out on some features).

Have sent you a PM.
