strange behavior from this cambridge amp - What could be the problem

My cambridge amp is doing the following.

If I move from 5.1 to stereo volumes jumps up drastically. I am unable to increase volume in stereo setting only decrease it. I am able to increase decrease the volume in 5.1 setting.

Everything else runs fine.
