Studio monitors vs Home professional speakers

Hi,

For setting up a home music system, i had almost fixed my mind on Mission m35i floorstanders (after researching a lot). But recently one of my friend, who is working in film field, told me that the speakers like Mission, Jamo, Polk,.. etc. are just crap as they add some enhancements to the audio before playing (called as sound coloring). So he asked me to go for studio monitors instead and suggested the names like Genelec, Dynaudio,..

what do you guys think? do i really need to go with studio monitors as they deliver the actual sound?..
