Hi

For a 10 x 18 area, the suggested sub would do...depending at what levels of bass you want!

No point buying a sub which delivers the same bass frequencies as your Front speakers....check the specs and decide....

In my opinion, TSX 440s deliver bass from 45/50hz onwards and the sub which you are getting outputs bass as low as 35/38hz....technically not much difference....

If you want bass as low as 25/28hz, you would need to look at bigger sized ones like 10/12 inch which are expensive....that does not mean you necessarily need to keep it at full volume....you can enjoy the sub at low levels with clear smooth bass output.

In my opinion, there is no sub in the 10-20K range which is worth the money if you have good size front speakers. You have decent front towers..so you need to spend 25-30K to get a decent sub. Subs <20K will be only good for tiny size satellite speakers

thanks you made things simple and clear...
I can go for better subwhoof and use in low volume, so neighbours are not offended...

Any suggestions for decent subwhooof 10/12 inch in 20 to 30K after discounts ???

Synodyne roar 108 (18000 i have got quote from 1 vendor) is one i think ,
is it good or gofor more reputed brand

I would say live with the system for a month or so. Use it to see if you truly need a sub.
Then budget a bit higher and go for SVS or Velodyne.

Hi Sushant,

One of our forum members (Celester340) recently purchased the Polk DSP Pro 550 whose MRP is 35k but ProFx would rope in 10-15% discount and hence you should get it within 30k...

Apparently his experience is awesome, I too have heard this sub in the past and think it is good value for money with performance.....

There are other subs available from Taga on HiFiMart...I don't have a direct experience with them but plan to soon audition....

I am too looking for subwoofer in 30K range. getting polk 220B , 250c from US along with Denon 510BT can not bring subwoofer due to size. Need suggestion on matching subwoofer for this setup . My room is approx 12X10

Hi

Look at the Polk DSP Pro 550, will match well.....if you have not purchased the 220B, go for the RTiA1s ....much much better performance...likewise then change the Center speaker CSiA4 I guess.....

Thanks for replying. I already bought them online,so replacing them will be hassle but if difference is huge I can try. Plus I got 220b in $150 but RTIA1 is at $200.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
