True. Due to renovation cost, budget gone up, so I am considering yamaha.
If possible shall purchase KEF.

Just thinking of installing surround speakers also. Initially I had no plans for the same.
As I have read, surround speakers need not be of same brand or power as that of front speakers. I need compact surround speakers.
Can I use following as surround speakers to complement KEFQ300 as front and Denon 1713 ?
It fits my budget and small size too.

Have you checked the Polk OWM3? In my opinion this is a slightly better Surround speaker. Try to Audition and check. Polk OWM3

Thank u. Its bit difficult to take audition at my town. I have decided to finalize surround speakers as per expert suggestion of members.

Okay in that sense, my personal vote to Polk OWM3 for surround duties. These are like dedicated surround speakers.

Hi

As @MaSh suggested, look at the Polks for surrounds.....there are a couple of models.....Tagas also are good to an extent.

I use the Bose 201s Series V as Rear Surround speakers on the Marantz SR series AVR...they work excellent for music and movies to a good extent.....i needed some more sharper highs and hence i tweaked the 201s with some additional capacitors and i was able to achieve more sharper crisper highs as what you hear through dome tweeters....in short for me it works..after tweaking!

DV32s i have used a little over 1.5 years and they are quite good for music and movies....

I use the Bose 201s Series V.....they are actually meant for music and are placement specific....the ones i use are TWEAKED to give me more sharper highs and so it serves my purpose for movies and music as well
