The long wait is over, Finally i received my SVS PB1000 from Acoustic Arts

Its really an awesome sub ! Really a high value piece given it's price. Build quality and materials are excellent. -Even the packing :)

My priority is movies (90%) and 10% music. - Reason for selecting a ported one

AVR - Marantz SR 6008 with Dali Zensor 7 & Vokal

Settings on sub :

Volume - 1 O'clock position instead of the typical 12

Phase - 0

LPF Crossover - LFE

Set to - 'ON' for running the audyssey and back to 'Auto' once done

QED performance sub woofer cable.

Didnt get a chance to listen to Music, will do it over the weekend

More updates to follow.

hi arjun, how much did the soundpath cost?let us know whether it makes any difference?am also using PB1000 placed in an elevated enclosure.
Anyway its a fantastic sub for movies & takes them to another level,if properly tuned!:)

50$ + 60$ (shipping)+ 1500INR for import duties etc.

I would say its worth for money, yes it does make difference to the way you listen to sub frequencies - smooth & clean bass

I got this sub last week. Now I am thinking whether it is worth to go for this isolation or not. Please suggest what's your experience post fixing this. Below is the pic of my placement, I have placed the packing cardboard that came on the top/bottom of the sub to see if it can have this isolation effect

@Murlidher, Congratulations on your purchase. Looks great but I would suggest you to remove the thermocol packing material and let the sub rest on the provided feet. This way you will get to listen and experience the way it is meant to sound. Later you can opt for isolation system for better bass.

May I know how much did you pay for this sub and from where did you purchase?

Thanks. I will keep the top thermocol as is as it helps me to keep my blu ray player and vguard stabilizer on top of it and will the remove the bottom. Hope it's OK.

I bought from HT Store, close to 41K

Again a bad idea to keep anything on the sub when running it.

@saket - What is the other best price available for this woofer on the market. Other interested might be benefited out of this

I did not get any quote for this, just wanted to know the purchase price. At looking the MRP of Rs. 45000 you got a discount of 9% which is decent. Maybe, if you would have forced for a little more, you would have got somewhere around 12-15%.
Any way Mr. Lokesh of HT Store is a good guy and friendly and had given me a whooping discount for my Denon AVR and helped me sell my Onkyo AVR+speakers.

Nope - definitely this is not the way to put a sub. Also why did you kept the tower right in front of Sub ?

Let me know the volume settings on sub.

If possible download lone survivor movie and watch the final scene - chopper hovering over the village. Adjust the volume up to your liking.

I have removed them on same day and also moved the tower slightly towards the left. Here is the latest pic...

Hope this looks OK...

I have kept the volume at 12o clock and manually changed the audyssey level of sub from -9 to -5 db.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
