It is not compatible with device galaxy S Plus running android 4.1, looks like it support ICS and below.

I installed it and running fine on S3 running 4.1.2

Identified the issue, It wont support my device Galaxy S Plus i9001.
Here is the list of device supported by them

I do not know why they worry about device model check rather than checking android version and screen resolution.

There is an option to e.nable wifi and home network setup. But I am unable find an option to connect to router

The changes in the menu are as follows -
1. Master reset and signal test moved from hidden menu to System Setting. New setting too.
2. Home network setting added, I can give network name to STB.
3. Choice for Wi-Fi or Ethernet(recommended) connection.
4. System Information, now you can see its detecting details of HDMI status and TV information through it. [See below HDD temperature in last.]
5. Now Few system settings like IP setting requires pin.

Can someone explain the process of connecting stb to home wifi network. Also whether I require any additional wifi accessory for my Tata sky hd plus set top box for this setup to work.

So by now its clear, you need to buy USB WiFi dongle by sending SMS "CONNECT" TO 56633 & paying Rs 100/-

I requested Tata Sky in the evening of 3rd June to connect my Tata Sky+ HD with my router for VoD etc. by sending SMS "CONNECT" TO 56633.

Yesterday, I got a call from Tata Sky (Hyderabad) that connection with Ethernet cable is free and they have just launched a WiFi dongle which costs Rs.1200/- but they are giving it for Rs.300/- as introductory offer. Good offer in my opinion. I immediately said yes. Then I got 2-3 calls from Tata-Sky (Gurgaon) that it has been launched but they don't have stock. The stock is expected in 2-3 days and they will call me after that.

Today I got a call in morning at 9:00 AM that they got it and asked for suitable time to come and install.

The guy came and install it, simple plug and play, no IP setting, no other setting. Literally 10 seconds job. He spent another 5 minutes in giving me demo by downloading sample video and playing it.

In the meantime, I saw Rs.100/- printed on the packing. I asked him how much, he asked me how much I was told. I told him that I was told Rs.300/- but Rs.100/- is printed on the packing. He said that it is the first USB dongle he is installing so doesn't know about the price. He called up his senior and asked. His senior called back in 5 minutes (by the time demo finished) that it is indeed for Rs.100/- only. He took Rs.100/- cash and gave me receipt.

Amazing price for ultimate convenience of WiFi and 802.11a/b/g/n 300 Mbps dongle. All in all I am happy customer. :yahoo:

What I don't like about this new update is

1. If you go to channel guide->all channels, earlier it used to take you to the channel which you are viewing. But now it start all the way from 100. It is making channel surfing so difficult for me.

I would love to revert this!!

This is one thing that I really hate too about the update. I am surprised that more people have not complained about this. Is there any way to get it back to the old way?
