I have 2 SD STBs in 2 different cities. As I am moving back to my hometown,I wonder if it is better to cancel one of the subscriptions or whether I should carry the extra STB back with me.
Which is more economical/feasible?
(a) Continuing both subscriptions in my hometown?
(b) Converting the subscription in my hometown to one that will accommodate 2 TVs (is it possible without both TVs showing the same channel simultaneously)?

You can can cancel one connection and retain the STB. Now add a multiroom connection and use the retained STB for multiroom. This will be cheaper that keeping both the connections working.

That was my plan too.But apparently,Tatasky has stopped this option since the last 2 months. So,I am stuck with a useless STB!

I suppose (not sure) as you will ask them to cancel one connection, they will request you to sell or gift the STB to a friend as primary connection or multiroom connection. It is what they used to do earlier. If this does not work, no option to keep the STB in standby. But that too will work when the same is activated by Tata Sky.
