Technics SL-PG350 CD Player

hi,

I am a beginner in the hifi world

anyone can give some details about the

Technics SL-PG-350 Compact Disc Player

Something written MASH in the CD Tray, whats it ?

this can give a good sound quality like New era Audio CD Players

Now I am using WD TV as a source to the Marantz PM80, planning to buy a DAC

found this in a used stuff dealer for 1900/- rs. dnt know its working or not

going to buy it if its working based on hifivision FM advice

so please help.

Technics CD players were pretty good in their day. However they were mass-market players for Technics racks and not for the audiophile cd listener. They cannot be compared to the modern NADs and Marantzs. When buying old CD players, more often than not, you'll have to change the laser transport (this has a life span) which can cost you around 1000. Also check whether the cd player is compatible with CD-R or you'd not be able to play your home-burnt CDs. Again 1900 is a bit steep, these players are sold in the used market for a few hundreds, working or not
