The most ever active forum with active members!

Hi,

I, from Chennai, having hardly posted some threads in this forum, but have been watching this forum very closely for the past 2 months, would like to take this opportunity to thank this forum creators, moderators, and some "legendary" forum members for help out beginners as promptly as possible.

As far as I know, I have never seen such an active forum with so much discussions and members who are so passionate, courteous and friendly towards other forum members. Especially, I was surprised to see one of the members, Vinay's Free 8 DVDs thread and informative posts by venkatcr, spirovious, moserw, soundsgreat, marsilians, etc. (I know others will not feel bad, as it is a very big list). Also, the fact which amazed me the most was most of you are married (afraid of your wives:eek:hyeah:), professionals with busy schedules, having so much passion towards music and do dedicate your time towards music! Really Great and Hats off!

I seriously could not find time as I am a law student and working as a project manager in a BPO, though not married.

I can tell this very confidently that this is one-stop-shop for AV world! Kudos to all of you heroes! Pls keep this going! I am privileged to be on this forum and would love to meet and befriend with each one of you!

Also, I recently imported Demo DVD, Blu-rays disc from US, I would love to share this with other forum members from Chennai (pardon me) and give you a copy of the same if you need them. Pls pm for the same.

Venkatesh, I echo your thoughts! And what is great the time and effort some of these members spend in making elaborate, detailed and unbiased posts.

Btw, I am also saving up to buy a Bullet, hopefully an Electra, before they axe it end of 2010.
For now, here s a shot of The Classic 500 which I checked out few days back,

Though it has a unitary construction engine, which strays away from its classic british lineage, these motorcyles have their own merits, imho!
The feel of thumping away sedately on CI350 is unmatched. But the UCE's are also torque monsters which you can tour on without fuss, a change for better acceleration and efficiency.

iaudio

Have you tried a 32 gb card in your D2. I have run out of space and am toying between a 16 gb option and a 32 gb option.

Also - which is the cheapest place to buy a 32 gb card

No, SRR I just had a 4gb card! My Cowon d2 got stolen, sorry I couldnt update in my signature. So planning to get a Sansa Clip plus sometime soon. I have Beta Brainwavz In ear headphones.
32gb card? Best bet is heading over to digital camera shop, they stock 16gb cards for compact cameras. 32 gb you will have to order on net I guess.

My sennheisser cx 300, Canon S3 Is also got stolen with it!

Sorry about this. My creative got stolen too about a year back. Luckily that got me out of the MP3 obsession.

Any reason you are looking at Sansa.

Cheap:yahoo:, good sq, plays flac, memory expandable! Just like the D2. Of course, its not as powerful as the d2 nor does it have a good display or video. But I can live with that.
OT, sorry!
Srr, We should take this to portable media players thread!

Hi,

The picture you have posted really turns me on. Feel like going for a loan and grabbing one right away!:licklips: I feel as if I am seeing a 2-wheeled "Hummer":licklips:

Enfield is enfield! I wish they are more proactive and customer-friendly and provide customers a wide variety of options to buy their products like others.

Thanks all of you for your support and providing me a warm welcome! I feel like being home!

OT, sorry!

This is a general feel good thread so i guess its still not out of place here. Maybe we should discuss riding a bullet with a cowon strapped on to the ear.

I like that:eek:hyeah:
But headphone only in left ear, that too at moderate volume. Indian traffic conditions demand all senses at their highest functioning level!
(i rode to ooty ridermania with D2 and Senn cx300 on the whole time. Never switched it off for most of the 3 days. Battery still didnt drain out!:clapping:)

Those days.

I used to work for Enfield and was in the bullet shop floor for about a year. The things i saw on quality front gave me the shivers. I also had the privilege of owning a company provided Bullet and the joy of repairing it and knowing which guy in the shop floor had screwed up the push rod assembly.

I have been a recepient of the same privilege of people looking at the traffic signals, in my case though a little wonder about how a 50 kg small guy was riding this monster.

Wow - never knew that, Ramanujam. Yes, quality is pretty bad. I have a 10 year old bike which has no rust on it inspite of it always parked outside in the rain and shine. But the Bullet which is only about 2.5 years old has rust all over its silencer pipe due to the rain. Unacceptable, really.

And also did not know that we had hardcore bikers having RD350 in the forum. This is a hub of sorts. Maybe we should do a Hifivision ride someday...

In THOSE enfield days, i once tried an Enfield Explorer ( a moped in the garb of a bike, beautifully built though) with a walkman and poor headphones on. Didnt know how to ride a bike. didnt have a license either, and i tried this on a highway and was almost under a truck in Ranipet. Since i have lived to tell this tale, have become a little wiser. The next and the only other time i tried it was a country road to Andhra lake (which happens to be in Maharashtra ) on a car (but with "in ear phones":licklips:).

Would love to join the Chennai - Pondi trip. Hope it is not Poondi, which was the closest college town near where i stayed. Featured in the movie Oru Thalai Ragam, which prmpts me to start another thread on TR classics.

Certainly. If there is enthusiasm as well as the numbers, then lets do a ride. And yes, Chennai to Pondy would be a good start.

My two rupees - please dont use earphones when you are riding. They are dangerous to you as well as others. As such our roads are such that you can get killed even if you use all your senses all the time. We can do without taking such chances.

Hi Bala!,

My 2 year old Pulsar got stolen some time back.I had a fleeting thought of going back to the Bullet. But my son is not for it. After knowing the quality of the new Bullets from your post i am having second thoughts too.

cheers,
sri

I don't have a bike, but would love to join in the trip. I can ride pillion, or if one bike owner is lazy, can act as a unpaid driver !! I have a license, and have driven a Jawa for over 15 years. Not allowed to own a bike by my wife nowadays.

Cheers

Hello All Hifi choppers!

I see most of you are Enfield-lovers and would love to ride! I am sure one day we will be having another separate forum (like this) for our rides!

Good to be connected with you all! Where in the world I was all these day?!

I currently have a 3 YO pulsar, but would be going for an Enfield within 2010, as I have invested quite a bit in my HT.
