Difference between the 7s and 9s is about 7K not 12K. The 7s cost about 43k and the 9s cost 50k.
i was quoted 37k for 7s and 49k for 9s, hence 7 seemed more appealing

Thats a really attractive price. I guess for that price I would go for the 7s. Highly recommendable.
May i know, what was the content you were playing for auditioning the 10.6? I heard Klipsch RF-52 Floorstanders, Monitor Audio M-6 and the next in line Floorstanders, Polk Audio RTi A7 Floorstanders. The Wharfedale 10.6 was the best of the lot. I was not sure if it was Bi-amped or not. But it sounded full and i was auditioning with The Dark Knight Blu Ray and Transformers Blu Ray. No other fronts had the impact the 10.6 delivered. It played very comfortably at high volume levels. It slaps on your face without distortion. The paradigm Monitor 7/9 might be better. Did you watch any action or fx sequences on 10.6 and paradigm?
I had auditioned the Kef IQ50, seemed quite good in a similar price range. Guess you shd hear them too b4 u decide.
@Blue Floyd,
Did you get the speakers yet?
Blue Floyd,
Which are the stores you auditioned at in Pune?
I checked SoundFactor and AVXellence for DefTech 600 and Polk Tsi400.
Would like to audition the Paradigm Monitors.
BTW, getting a Denon 2311 to drive these.
Any other store suggestions, and speaker options you considered?
Booked the monitor 7s for 37k,:yahoo:
delivery after 25th :sad:
also heard the wharfedale 10.6 again as it was being auditioned by another customer and was really glad didn't go for these....they sounded sooo bottom heavy
I am also in Pune and have a Wharfedale 10.6, after the intial run in, the speakers have ,for me, performed really well.
Aquarious, on East Street, is the the right place, for Wharfedales, I believe the owner is a Parsee gentleman, who was extrelmy helpfull to me. Let me know if you want to listen to the 10.6 or any other help.

Can you tell me more about your experience with Wharfedales? I'm looking to buy Diamond 10.7
What kind of music did you listen to during the demo of Monitor 7/9, wharfedale 10.6 & Klipsch RF52/62's???
