discovered a unconventional way to detect reflection points.. At the risk of being the joke of town here it is
The tools that we need...
1. An empty bottle of mineral water! The thinner it is, the better.
2. Play your music loud.
If you place finger gently across the bottle one can sense the vibration. It's obviously maximum closest to speaker... What piqued my interest was f vibrations near to first reflection points, it was surprisingly high. Its fun to try. Definitely works in smaller rooms, like I do as intensity is clearly felt (highest vs lowest)
I guess this can be an inexpensive way to try.
